Method

Marinate the Beef

  • In a bowl, toss the sliced chuck steak with soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch.

  • Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to tenderize and absorb flavour.

Make the Stir-Fry Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sriracha.

  • Mix cornstarch and water, then add it to the sauce for thickening.

Cook the Beef

  • Heat 1 tsp vegetable oil in a hot wok or pan over high heat.

  • Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned but not overcooked.

  • Remove and set aside.

Stir-Fry the Veggies

  • In the same pan, add 1 tbsp vegetable oil.

  • Toss in onion, garlic, carrots, bell pepper, and broccoli.

  • Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.

Combine & Finish

  • Return the beef to the pan.

  • Pour in the stir-fry sauce and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens and coats everything.

  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced spring onions for extra flavour

Serve & Enjoy!

🍚 Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
🥢 Pair with a side of kimchi or pickled vegetables for extra depth.

Pro Tips 💡

✔️ Thin Slices = Tender Beef – Always slice against the grain for the most tender bites.
